Trucker escapes unscathed after rig falls off I-81 bridge

A trucker is safe after a shocking accident on Friday morning, January 17, in Schuylkill County, Pennsylvania.

Details: Just before 8 a.m., a tractor trailer went off a bridge on Interstate 81 near mile marker 110, landing on Donaldson Road below. The vehicle ended up upside down and smashed.

  • No injuries were reported as the trucker managed to escape the wreck on his own, remarkably without harm.
  • The crash also caused some damage to the bridge, according to Skook News.

Cleanup efforts: First responders quickly contained a diesel spill resulting from the crash and cleared the area of debris.

Traffic delays were noted on both the interstate and surrounding roads due to the incident, but there were no additional injuries reported.
