Truck driver killed aiding fellow trucker in Pennsylvania parking dispute

A truck driver was killed after an early morning altercation at a Love's truck stop in Berks County, Pennsylvania, on March 22. James Alexander Hilton, aged 40, died at the scene following an argument with another driver while trying to assist a third truck driver with parking.

What we know: The dispute escalated when the suspect fired on Hilton. Following the shooting, Pennsylvania State Police swiftly located and arrested the shooter at approximately 3:30 a.m. near the I-78 westbound exit 45 ramp in Lehigh County.

Fast response: State police and the Berks County District Attorney praised the effective coordination between agencies which facilitated the suspect's timely capture. Law enforcement's prompt action was crucial in the thinly populated area where the incident took place.

The identity of the suspect has been withheld pending charges, according to The Morning Call.
