Truck driver falls asleep, causing crash on I-15 in Utah

A truck driver fell asleep while driving a FedEx truck with double trailers, triggering a crash on northbound I-15 in Pintura, Utah. The incident occurred early Wednesday morning, September 18th.

What happened: The driver began to drift off and sideswiped another semi. Trying to correct the mistake, he overcorrected, which led to the truck rolling over.

  • Both trailers ended up on the grassy shoulder, causing minimal traffic disruptions.
  • The driver and his co-driver were taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

What they said: Utah Highway Patrol noted the quick response and minimal impact on traffic, stating, "We've managed to keep the situation under control."
