Truck chase ends safely in Utah after fire drama

A semi truck driver was arrested following a wild police chase near Beaver, Utah, on January 9. The chase began when a call came in about reckless driving on Interstate 70.

The chase: The driver failed to stop for deputies, continuing onto I-15. Despite attempts to stop the truck with spike strips, the driver kept going on bare rims, creating heavy smoke.

  • The pursuit concluded three miles north of Beaver, where the truck eventually stopped, and the driver was taken into custody.
  • No injuries were reported during the incident.

The fire: After the arrest, the truck caught fire. The Beaver Fire Department quickly responded to extinguish the flames. The southbound lanes of I-15 were temporarily closed as crews managed the scene, reported KSL NewsRadio.

Thankfully, no one was injured in the incident, and everyone made it out safely.
