Semi truck veers off-road causing delay on Mass Turnpike

Early morning on March 10, a semi truck and two passenger vehicles crashed on the Massachusetts Turnpike east near Westborough-Grafton. The accident involved a tractor-trailer that veered off-road and down an embankment.

The incident: Happened around 1 a.m., causing significant traffic delays. Police diverted eastbound traffic at Exit 96 to clear the area.

  • The truck driver was found unresponsive and taken to a hospital. It remains unclear how the driver ended up outside the cab.
  • A second person involved was also hospitalized, as reported by Worcester Telegram & Gazette.
