Pumpkin vandals target trucks on Ontario highways overnight

Early on September 12, multiple trucks were targeted in a series of reckless acts on Ontario highways.

The incidents: Occurred on Highways 401 and 402 in the London area, with the first report coming around 2:30 a.m. near Old Victoria Road, where a pumpkin damaged a semi truck's windshield.

  • Shortly after, two more trucks were struck by pumpkins along Highway 402, close to White Oak Road. One of these incidents caused significant harm to a truck's windshield.
  • Despite the damage, there were no injuries reported, and all truck drivers managed to safely pull over to the shoulder.

Police response: The Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) is investigating the circumstances and is searching for those responsible. They urge anyone with information to reach out.

These dangerous actions pose serious threats on the road, as stated by the OPP. Such behavior can lead to accidents, highlighting the reckless nature of these incidents.
