FedEx Truck Driver Falls Asleep, Causes Utah Crash

A semi-truck driver fell asleep while driving north on Interstate 15 in Pintura, Utah, causing a crash early Wednesday morning.

The details: The FedEx truck was hauling double trailers when the driver nodded off and sideswiped another semi.

  • In response, the driver overcorrected, causing both trailers to overturn onto the grassy shoulder, reported FOX 13 News.

Both the driver and his co-driver were taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. Authorities will drag the trailers back through a roadside fence as part of the cleanup efforts.
