Family involved in minor semi truck accident in Maine

A semi truck carrying a driver’s family overturned in Farmington, Maine, on Sunday morning. The crash led to a minor injury and a fuel spill at the intersection of New Vineyard and Fairbanks roads.

The details: The incident occurred around 10:53 a.m. The truck, owned by JJS Transport of Lawrenceville, Georgia, was transporting bottled water when it failed to stop at the intersection and rolled onto its side, according to Bangor Daily News.

  • The driver’s wife and their four young children were inside the truck and were assisted by first responders.
  • The woman sustained minor injuries and was taken to a nearby hospital for evaluation.

Environmental impact: The rollover caused a rupture in the truck's fuel tanks. This prompted the Maine Department of Environmental Protection to handle the fuel spill.

  • Local emergency services, including Farmington Police and Fire Departments, responded quickly to contain the situation.

The family was lucky to escape with only minor injuries from the accident.
