CVSA Announces Key Inspection Blitzes for 2025

The Commercial Vehicle Safety Alliance (CVSA) has announced the 2025 schedule for their key commercial vehicle inspection events.

The big picture: These blitzes aim to ensure the safety and compliance of commercial vehicles across North America.

By the dates:

  • International Roadcheck: This event is set for May 13-15, 2025. Known as the largest inspection effort worldwide, it sees roughly 15 vehicles inspected every minute.
  • Operation Safe Driver Week: Scheduled for July 13-19, 2025, this week focuses on identifying both commercial and passenger vehicle drivers engaged in reckless driving.
  • Brake Safety Week: Planned for August 24-30, 2025, with another unannounced brake inspection day set to occur anytime during the year.

Details: During these events, inspectors will scrutinize vehicle components, especially brakes, and remove any trucks with serious safety violations from service until all issues are rectified.

These initiatives are designed to address common issues found during roadside checks, improving overall road safety for everyone.
