The Commercial Vehicle Safety Alliance (CVSA) has announced the 2025 schedule for their key commercial vehicle inspection events.
The big picture: These blitzes aim to ensure the safety and compliance of commercial vehicles across North America.
By the dates:
- International Roadcheck: This event is set for May 13-15, 2025. Known as the largest inspection effort worldwide, it sees roughly 15 vehicles inspected every minute.
- Operation Safe Driver Week: Scheduled for July 13-19, 2025, this week focuses on identifying both commercial and passenger vehicle drivers engaged in reckless driving.
- Brake Safety Week: Planned for August 24-30, 2025, with another unannounced brake inspection day set to occur anytime during the year.
Details: During these events, inspectors will scrutinize vehicle components, especially brakes, and remove any trucks with serious safety violations from service until all issues are rectified.
