Animals rescued after fiery I-15 truck crash in Las Vegas

Three animals are on the mend after being caught in a fiery crash on Interstate 15 in Las Vegas on November 11th. The semi truck they were traveling in overturned and caught fire after colliding with a vehicle hauling a motorhome.

The details: The crash left Chloe, a dog, with burns on her face and paws. Her brother, Jim the Pomeranian, also suffered burns, while Mortis the pet tortoise ended up with a cracked shell.

  • Chloe was picked up by a good samaritan about two miles from the accident.
  • Paws Patrol, an animal rescue group, has taken in the trio and is providing them care.

Owner's situation: The truck's driver, identified as the owner of the animals, was hospitalized with injuries from the crash.

The animals are now under the care of Horizon Ridge Animal Hospital in Henderson, where Chloe recently reunited with Jim and Mortis. Her caregivers are optimistic about her recovery despite the challenges she faces.

According to Fox5Vegas, Chloe's recovery will be a long process, but the community is stepping up to support them. Donations are being encouraged to help the animals and their owner rebuild their lives.
