A trucker hauling steel pipes miraculously survived after a crash with a tanker in Lufkin, Texas, early Wednesday morning.
The details: The crash happened around 8 a.m. on September 18 on U.S. 59. A tanker truck pulling into a crossover collided with a southbound semi hauling 25-foot steel pipes.
- The force of the impact caused the semi to lose its load and left the trucker pinned inside the crushed cab.
Thankfully, he was transported to the hospital with only minor injuries and is expected to be released without an overnight stay.
Amazing survival: "We’re glad to report that the driver of the 18-wheeler carrying steel pipes is doing well and is expected to be released from the hospital without needing an overnight stay—a truly miraculous outcome considering the state of his cab," said the Lufkin Police Department.
The tanker driver also escaped without serious injury.
Wife's relief: The trucker’s wife expressed her gratitude, saying, "The Texas troopers said they have no idea how Brian survived the crash but I do!!! God was not only riding in the passenger seat but was totally wrapped around Brian holding him in his arms!!" she wrote on social media.
