Tow truck rear-ends car, causing Highway 400 shutdown

A tow truck was involved in a collision on Highway 400 in Ontario, Canada, on Monday, January 20. The truck rear-ended a car when traffic slowed near Highway 7.

What happened: As traffic began to slow, the tow truck failed to stop in time and slammed into the back of a car, causing major damage. No serious injuries were reported.

  • The driver of the car was taken to the hospital but was not seriously hurt.
  • The tow truck driver has been charged, according to INsauga.

Aftermath: The crash led to the temporary closure of the southbound lanes of Highway 400.

Thankfully, despite the severe damage, everyone involved in the incident escaped without serious injuries. The roadway was expected to reopen shortly after the cleanup.
