Texas trucker dies in overpass plunge onto Jacksonville train tracks

A 61-year-old Texas truck driver has died after his semi-truck veered off an overpass and crashed onto the railroad tracks below on Interstate 295 North at Pickettville Road in Jacksonville, Florida.

The incident: The accident which occurred on February 9 led to one northbound lane of I-295 being shut as authorities and CSX personnel worked on-site.

The response: Emergency services rushed the driver, who sustained critical injuries, to a nearby hospital but he did not survive. No other vehicles were involved in the crash.
