Steel Pipe Hauler Miraculously Survives Tanker Crash in Texas

A trucker hauling steel pipes had a miraculous escape after a severe crash with a tanker in Lufkin, Texas on September 18, 2024.

What happened: The crash took place around 8 a.m. on U.S. 59 near Southwood Drive/FM 324. A tanker truck crossed into a southbound semi’s path, causing a significant collision.

  • The impact caused the semi to lose its load of 25-foot steel pipes and severely damaged the cab.
  • The trucker, temporarily pinned inside, was taken to the hospital but only sustained minor injuries.

“We’re glad to report that the driver of the 18-wheeler carrying steel pipes is doing well and is expected to be released from the hospital without needing an overnight stay—a truly miraculous outcome considering the state of his cab,” said the Lufkin Police Department.

The tanker truck driver also escaped without serious injuries.

The trucker's wife shared on social media her gratitude to God for her husband's survival, stating, “God was not only riding in the passenger seat but was totally wrapped around Brian holding him in his arms!!”

Thankfully, no serious injuries were reported in this near-tragic accident.
