Semi swerves to avoid car, crashes off Idaho highway

A dramatic crash involving a semi-truck occurred at around 11:30 a.m. on November 14th near Declo, Idaho.

What happened: The truck swerved to avoid a car that didn't yield and drove off an overpass.

  • The semi, driven by a 37-year-old man from Sonora, Mexico, went through the guardrails on Idaho Highway 77.

The truck driver was flown to the hospital. Details about his current condition have not been disclosed.

The aftermath: The eastbound lanes of I84 at exit 216 were closed as crews worked with a crane to clear the scene, reported East Idaho News.

Meanwhile, the road remains blocked as authorities manage the cleanup and ensure the safety of the area.
