Flatbed truck hit by pickup running red light

A pickup truck running a red light got hit hard by a flatbed truck in a recent incident caught on a traffic camera. The event took place on September 24, 2024.

The details: The pickup, towing a trailer, ignored a red light and sped through an intersection, only to be struck by an oncoming red tractor-trailer.

  • The collision folded the pickup in half, and its trailer jackknifed, hitting the flatbed truck's cab as the wreck slid across the intersection.
  • The load on the flatbed truck remained completely secure, which was an impressive sight given the severity of the crash.

Luckily, no injuries were reported in this incident.
