CVSA announces major inspection blitz dates for 2025

The Commercial Vehicle Safety Alliance (CVSA) has unveiled the schedule for major commercial vehicle inspections in 2025.

Details: Key enforcement dates and campaigns include:

  • International Roadcheck: Set for May 13-15, 2025. This 72-hour blitz will inspect nearly 15 trucks and buses every minute across North America.
  • Operation Safe Driver Week: Scheduled for July 13-19, 2025. Officers will look for risky driving behavior in both commercial and passenger vehicle drivers.
  • Brake Safety Campaigns: Includes Brake Safety Week from August 24-30, 2025, and an unannounced one-day enforcement. Inspectors will focus on brake systems to find violations.

During these inspection periods, trucks with critical brake issues or other safety violations will be taken off the road until the problems are fixed.

These blitzes are aimed at reducing accidents caused by vehicle malfunctions. Truckers can expect thorough checks on air brake mechanical components, brake adjustments, and the air brake ABS system during these inspections.

Be prepared for increased enforcement during these dates to ensure vehicles are safe for the road.
