The California Highway Patrol (CHP) stepped up enforcement on I-5 this week.

What happened: CHP targeted speeders and other violations on Monday, November 11, covering the stretch from south of State Route 166 to State Route 118.

158 citations were handed out for speeding and other infractions.
38 commercial motor vehicles (CMVs) were stopped or cited.
3 drivers received verbal warnings.

By the numbers: Speeding was the most common issue, with 107 drivers cited.

One driver was found with a felony warrant.
Other infractions included distracted driving and registration problems.
