A Canadian trucker was stopped at the New York border, leading to a serious discovery on February 28.
The find: Officers at the Ogdensburg Port uncovered a stash of drugs in the driver's cab.
- They found a large bag with roughly 130 pills.
- In addition, there were several containers and bags with about a pound of marijuana.
The charges: Raphael Leblond-Lacroix, 32, now faces felony charges related to drug importation.
- Tests showed the substances contained marijuana and methamphetamine.
- Leblond-Lacroix was handed over to Homeland Security Investigations.
Authorities are pursuing federal prosecution under charges of controlled substances importation.
